Tokyo Advances Resilience, Innovation, and Investment: Tokyo Governor in New York

Tokyo is strengthening its role as a resilient city and a global innovation hub.

During her visit to New York, Governor KOIKE promoted Tokyo’s strengths at the United Nations ECOSOC High-Level Segment and the FinCity. Tokyo Global Forum, highlighting the city’s pioneering initiatives in urban resilience and sustainable energy and promoting investment in GX, AI and startups.
She also signed an MOU with New York University to advance plans for an NYU campus in Tokyo.

Through discussions with international organizations, academia, businesses and city leaders, she advanced partnerships and reinforced Tokyo’s commitment to addressing global challenges through multicity lateral cooperation.
