Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Wireless Broadband Alliance (WBA). This strategic partnership aims to accelerate the deployment of OpenRoaming, a platform providing seamless and secure Wi-Fi access city-wide.

Key Initiatives:
🔹 Supercharge Wi-Fi Access: Promote Wi-Fi deployment by private sector companies for Wi-Fi usage including during disasters and for Inbound tourism
🔹 Boost Tokyo's Global Reach: Enhance international outreach by promoting the achievements of an OpenRoaming-enabled Wi-Fi environment
🔹 Fast-Track Innovation: Promote the development of new technologies through joint demonstration projects and other initiatives

With a focus on improving Quality of Life (QoL) for residents and providing support for inbound tourism,

Tokyo is well on its way to becoming the world's most convenient "Smart City." 🏙️🛰️
